DOG OWNER RESPONSIBILITIES
Dog Owner provides accurate information to the best of their knowledge about their dog. All dog behavioral issues, aggression triggers, medical issues, and special conditions for handling must be disclosed. Dog Owner must provide most current records of vaccinations and insure dog is up to date on heartworm/flea and tick prevention. Dog Owner will ensure that all necessary equipment (e.g., harness, collar, ID tag) and access to dog is provided during scheduled services. All necessary information above is to be covered in Meet & Greet as well as online client/pet profile through Precise Petcare.
PAYMENT AND FEES
Dog Owner agrees to pay Dog Walker the fees as follows for the Services. The service fee is currently set at $(20) per [20 minutes], $(35) per [40 minutes], or $(45) per [60 minutes]. Dog Owner acknowledges additional fees as follows: $(3) per additional dog, $(5) visits outside office hours (9am-5pm Mon-Fri), $(10) holiday visits. Invoicing occurs 24 hours after last visit of the week (week cycle is Sunday to Saturday). The payment for the Services is due up to a week after Services have been invoiced. If the payment is not made by the specified due date, a late payment fee of 2% may be charged. In the event of non-payment, the Dog Walker reserves the right to withhold or terminate the Services. Dog Owner is responsible for any additional costs incurred while the Services are provided, including but not limited to veterinary expenses, transportation, special food or supplies, or other unforeseen expenses required for the well-being of the dog.
CANCELLATION AND TERMINATION
A cancellation fee of [50%] may be imposed for any cancellation or alteration of services less than 24 HOURS in advance. Dog Walker reserves the right to cancel or terminate services at any time due to reasons that may include but are not limited to aggressive pet behavior or non-payment. Id Dog Walker cannot fulfill service or needs to cancel, they will immediately notify Dog Owner. In case of termination, the Dog Walker will ensure the secure return of any house access items (e.g., keys and access codes).
EMERGENCIES
Dog Walker agrees to promptly report any incidents, accidents, injuries, or unusual behaviors observed during walks. In the event of a pet medical emergency/illness during the service period, Dog Walker will make every reasonable effort to contact the Dog Owner or their emergency contact immediately. If the Dog Owner or their emergency contact cannot be reached in time, the Dog Owner authorizes the Dog Walker to seek emergency veterinary care for their dog if necessary for the dog’s health, safety, and well-being. Dog Owner agrees to reimburse the Dog Walker for any reasonable and documented expenses incurred for emergency veterinary services.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Dog Walker agrees to keep all of the Dog Owner’s information (e.g., contact information, home access codes, security measures, etc.) strictly confidential. No information will be disclosed to any third parties without the Dog Owner’s explicit written consent.
LIABILITY
Dog Owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Dog Walker from any claims, liabilities, damages, expenses (including legal fees), or harm to the dog arising from the Services, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Dog Walker. Dog Walker is not responsible for any incidents (e.g. injury, disappearance, death or fines) of any dog(s) with unsupervised access to outdoors. Dog Owner acknowledges it is their responsibility to “pet proof” any areas of home/property to which pet has access. Dog Walker is not liable for any non-family pets being cared for in home without a separate agreement accepted and signed for that pet.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
Dog Owner acknowledges they have read and agree to the above. This agreement will remain valid for current and future services, with the exceptions of any agreed to changes in fees, frequency, or total number of visit.
